The Nissan Civilian bus, also know as the W41 is a minibus that comes in short and long chassis types. In its standard configuration can seat 26 or 30 passengers receptively. The seating is normally laid out with a row of double seats on right hand side of the bus and a row of single seats on the left, optional fold out aisle seats are often available for times when extra seating is required.

Japanese Bus

As well as being a popular Japanese used bus, the Civilian/W41 is often found in various countries throughout Central and South America. Competition for the Civilian can be found in the Isuzu Journey, Toyota Coaster and the Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa.

The Short Wheel Bus version of the Civilian/W41 has the following dimensions:

Total length: 6270mm

Wheelbase: 3310mm

Total width: 2065mm with the TD42 engine or 2255mm with the TB45E

Dimensions for the Long Wheel Bus version:

Total length: 6990mm

Wheelbase: 3690mm

Total width: 2065mm with the TD42 or 2255mm with the TB45E

The are several different versions of the Civilian available that have different interior configurations and equipment.

The GLX comes with high-backed reclining seats, cloth carpeted floor, an automatic door (sliding), self-levelling suspension to provide as comfortable a ride as possible and tinted windows.

The DX model non-tinted curtained windows, low-backed seats and an automatic door (folding).

The SX has an automatic door (folding), reclining high-backed seats, also features enhanced audio equipment and rear windscreen wipers.

The GX has an automatic reclining driving seat, superior audio and a passenger toilet.

The final model the TX comes equipped with cruise control, audio equipment supplied by BOSE so top quality sound, a Rear Projection TV, fully adjustable driving seat, air-bags for the passengers, refrigerator, retractable tables on all passenger seats and a self-levelling suspension system.
